Short synopsis:
“Aqui temos todos mãos de fada” (Here we all have fairy hands) is a short film that deepens the fictional and speculative dimension of the artistic research project Still—Moving. The film evokes the ghosts that inhabit the SAAL* Amigos Unidos neighborhood in Cabanas, built in 1975 by its own residents under the Local Ambulatory Support Service (SAAL). Those who still live there today preserve the spirit of association that gave rise to the neighborhood and, through gestures of care, bring forth others who are no longer here.
*An unparalleled state program that emerged after the 1974 Carnation Revolution, in which architects and technical brigades supported populations living in housing poverty in building their own homes.
